Audio Playgrounds (2012–2024): A Beatrix*Jar Legacy

For over a decade, Beatrix*Jar has brought sound exploration to life with “Audio Playgrounds,” interactive experimental performances in which you become the musician.

These immersive experiences invited participants of all backgrounds to play, create, and experiment with sound in a no-pressure, all-fun environment. Whether singing into a microphone with reverb and delay, tapping out rhythms on a xylophone or theremin, or crafting beats with vintage Casio keyboards and modified Speak-and-Spell toys, Audio Playgrounds celebrated curiosity and play. No musical experience was required—just a willingness to explore the joy of sound.
